A message to YOU: GAM Supporters around the world
Hello friends and supporters everywhere….
I write this note to YOU because, by virtue of your support, you have an inside relationship with Global Alopecia Mission…some to greater extents than others. Nonetheless, each person is very important to the GAM movement and mission. Thanks so much for your commitment to the GAM vision and to the alopecia community!
I understand that each of you are busy and have normal and full lives to lead: family, work, hobbies, etc.. and that sometimes its very difficult to devote time to something extra, no matter how passionate you feel about it. There are some of us who spend endless hours each day working on GAM and others who may only spend several hours a month just keeping up with or talking about the topic. THAT’S OKAY…so long as we are all moving in the same direction…toward promoting RESEARCH that leads to a TREATMENT and a CURE; a day in the future where Alopecia Areata does not have the power to strike at will and disturb our lives and health.
It was always my hope that this forum would serve as an area where we collectively gather (as our time permits) to maintain a CONNECTION that helps to motivate and stir us to a level of consistent action that is worthy of our mission. Because our mission is worth the effort. And its one that YOU can and do directly influence through your action if you choose to.
I am thankful for all those that continue to help PROMOTE and ADVANCE our cause; from those that actively volunteer to those that simply click the like button, comment, share or post related content. My message to you is: We are succeeding. The hard work is paying off.
We are engaged in a BIG effort, which is full of many obstacles, as I can testify first hand. However, in just over a year, we have made incredible progress by keeping our eyes fixed positively on the goal ahead and resisting negativity, naysayers, and inactivity.
What we have not yet accomplished directly, we have accomplished in many ways indirectly by making the words DISEASE and RESEARCH priorities in the discussion of Alopecia Areata around the world. That is no small feat!
I look forward to your continued positive participation. We have so many amazing developments around the corner that will impact the world of Alopecia Areata and I am thrilled and pleased to share them with YOU….my fellow friends and fighters.
