GAM Welcomes MondoBaldo
GAM is happy to announce another partner in our quest to fund alopecia areata research, MondoBaldo. MondoBaldo is the premiere lifestyle brand for what they call the “Bald & Proud” – Warriors living with Alopecia or cancer, as well as head-shavers adding an edge to their appearance.
“We are excited to bring on another partner in our quest to cure alopecia areata,” said Rob Swierski, Executive Director of GAM. “MondoBaldo is an exciting young company, not unlike ourselves in some ways, that is filled with enthusiasm and wants to help those in need.”
MondoBaldo will donate $1 to alopecia areata research, as well as give $3 off each shirt, to any customer that uses gamrocks during checkout. They offer a variety of t-shirts that embody the attitude of a “Solar Powered Love Machine”, that one can take the suns energy absorbed through ones bald head and turn it into more love for the world.
“When GAM reached out to me, I was ecstatic. MondoBaldo’s goal is to not only be a viable enterprise, obviously, but more importantly give back to the Bald & Proud, members of our ‘club’ that need help, support and research,” said Andy Turpen, owner of MondoBaldo. “The business is less than two months old, but already I feel like I’ve hit the lottery by starting with relationships like this.”
The GAM Research Initiative is a brave new plan for the future of alopecia areata research. For the first time ever, GAM plans to gather experts from all ranges of disciplines, alongside ideas from some of the world’s finest research institutions, to set a roadmap for real treatments and a cure for alopecia areata.
